1) Practice Gratitude
If you’re feeling stuck in a funk, it can be difficult to have a positive outlook on life. But there are ways to get back into a better mood and it may just mean being grateful for what you already have. Start by making a list of five things you feel thankful for each day, and use your imagination: is your partner supportive? Are you healthy? Do you have enough money to get by? The more specific and genuine you can be with your gratitude, the better.
2)Love yourself
This can be difficult, especially when you’re having a bad day, but it’s so important to learn how to love yourself. Take some time each day to truly appreciate all of your attributes and focus on what makes you, well, you. When you do have a bad day, remind yourself that no one is perfect.
3) Focus On Your Strengths
If you struggle with staying positive all day, take a moment to think about your greatest strengths. These are things that you do particularly well that bring you personal satisfaction. Chances are there is a way to use these strengths to help others.
4) Delegate Responsibility
Studies show that happiness is strongly tied to a sense of control. So, when you feel as though you have no control over your work, it’s natural for your mood to dip and anxiety to rise. If you find yourself in a position like that, don’t worry: There are ways out. One of my favorites is delegation.
5) Avoid Negative People
When you surround yourself with negativity, it’s hard to stay positive. Identify those negative people in your life and figure out a way to minimize contact with them so they don’t bring you down.
